Tiffany
Lamps
The name Tiffany comes
from the famous jewellery family in New York and it was their son Louis
who, in 1846, started his career making stained glass windows. He would
collect cut offs from the stained glass production and decided to make
something out of these small pieces thus the beginning of the Tiffany lamp.
In time, their popularity surpassed even the family jewellery fame. An
authentic Tiffany lamp can sell for upwards of half a million dollars. One
of Louis Tiffany's declared goals was to "bring beauty into the home in
order that we might live with it, absorb its substance and so enhance our
existence". In this same spirit, our studio creates quality Tiffany style
lamps equal to the original calibre.
